Finland’s HMD Global has launched a new variant of Nokia 3310. The company has launched this phone with upgraded 3G options. It means that the user will get faster internet speed on this phone. Earlier, the new avatar of Nokia 3310 launched with 2G support.
The Nokia 3310 3G smartphone has just been launched in the Australian market. It will soon arrive in other countries too. Nokia will start selling this 3G smartphone from October 16. The cost of this phone will be 89.95 Australian dollars.
In a press release, HMD writes that “With 3G connectivity, this phone will become more famous for its fans is all over the world.”
HMD has said that for the support of 3G it will have to develop some new core software – that is why this new 3G phone will be slightly different from the 2G.
The 3G version of Retro Classic is also slightly more expensive than its 2G variant(€ 49 for 3G, vs € 2 for 2G).
HMD says this 3G phone will roll out from the mid-October in all over the world- it will be first available in the Australian market.
Pekka Rantala stated in the Australian media report, “We heard very loud and clear that we need to take it seriously, a 3G version was a must.”
The smartphone has a 1,200 mAh battery with 6.5 hours of non-stop talking capacity and 27 days of standby. Also, it can play music up to 40 hours. Not only that, Nokia claims that it can play FM radio for up to 35 hours.
Nokia’s iconic phone Nokia 3310 had a lot of crazes when it came in the new 2G format. It is expected that this new 3G smartphone will be welcomed after it arrives. The new Nokia 3310 3G smartphone has four color variant options. Because of the fast Internet connectivity, people can prefer it more than its 2G version.
