The 2018 Honda Accord has entered into a big production at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. It is being speculated that this Autumn will revive the midsize Sedan.
Honda is investing about $ 267 million in its Ohio facilities for the new Accord support production. Honda has already invested nearly $ 220 million in Marysville Plant, out of which $ 165 million is for the new welding area and 342 robots, and about $ 47 million in Honda’s engine plant in Anna, Ohio for Accord’s new 1.5 Liters and 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
Honda is bringing new technology to building its Accord, with high-performance structural adhesives by this the hardness of the car will improve significantly and Acoustic spray foam will help to reduce cabin noise. Along with that Honda’s laser bronzing technology will be used in its roof, the new stumping technology will give a new shape to the Accord.
Along with this, Automaker Honda will produce the Accord hybrid at its Ohio plant. A new sub-assembly for the compact Intelligent Power Unit has also been introduced, including a hybrid battery pack and its control system.
The 2018 Honda Accord with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an updated hybrid and 10-speed automatic, has been given a new structure, the V-6 option is no longer kept.
MAP Plant Manager Rob Moe has said that “Becoming the best-selling car in America in the last 41 years is a matter of pride for us and our colleagues.” He also said that “the increase in production and new jobs, help us to complete our production”
And a fun fact is that Accord is the first Honda vehicle to be made in America. Honda has been producing the Accord since 1982 in Marysville; In these 35 years, Honda has produced 11 million Accord.
