Ducati India launched its Superbike Ducati SuperSport in India on Thursday. Two bike models SuperSport and SuperSport S have been launched. Let’s say you this is not an entry-level sports bike. Its design is inspired by the company’s Panigale model. Panigale is a superbike of Ducati, both variants of the motorcycle have a similar engine, but there are some advanced features like quick-shifter (quick gear changing) in SuperSport S.
The company has kept the price of Ducati SuperSport S at 13.39 lakhs (1.339 million), and the price of SuperSport is 12.8 lakh (1.28 million) rupees (ex-showroom, Delhi). The direct comparison of this bike will be with the Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Ducati has also started booking of SuperSport. Anyone can book this on any Ducati Showroom by giving 1 lakh tokens.
About its Engine
The Testastretta L-twin’s 937cc engine has been provided in both variants. The same engine which used in Ducati Hypermotard 939 and Multistrada 950. The bike engine will generate 110 bhp power and 93 Nm torque. There are three ride modes in the bike which are sports, touring and urban. Apart from this, 3-level Bosch IBS and 8-level Ducati Traction Control are also given in the bike.
Ducati Panigale Inspires Designing
Its designing is inspired by Ducati Panigale. The difference between Standard and S variants is the only suspension and Bi-Directional QuickShare, in addition to standard variants there are all the features which are given in S variants.
There is an LCD in Ducati SuperSport with the DOT Metrics Area, which has given information like Engine Cooling Liquid Temperature, Ambient Temperature, Clock, Fuel Level, Fuel Consumption, Speed and Trip Duration. This bike comes with Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch ABS and Ducati Traction Control) and the Height-Adjustable Windscreen.
